Coilovers
Coilovers
How many of you guys run coilovers and think it improves the street ride and riding down hunting trails etc?
had a discussion while back about them. Am still prolly gonna do just fox 2.0s but I could add coilovers later- it's a 1500$ upgrade however. If I'm not taking my super duty through Baja trails and jumping mounds at 55mph. Is it worth it? Or no.

Well I'm getting the BDSift kit and it comes with fox 2.0s no resi.
I just didnt know would it be it be possible to add coil overs after the fact.
I know what you told me tricon! Lol. On the pavement though - the 2.0s and coilovers wouldn't be different would it? I know the coilover kit comes with 2.5 fox coilovers + fox 2.0 beside it. Just wondering with these huge trucks if the weight would be justifiable for the extra money$$$$
thoughts?

There are a lot of advantages to coilovers and they will ride better. The biggest advantage is the dual rate springs. Being able to have a soft spring rate at ride height, then substantially stiffer spring rate on a bump allows for softer valving and better ride quality.
If you're going to go with coilovers I would highly recommend a 2.5 due to the weight of your truck. It's very hard to get enough damping out of a 2.0 coilover due to the small body and large piston rod. Doesn't leave much room for oil to do the damping.
