i bought a used but almost new leveling coils with shocks for my 87 f150 short bed 4.9 reg cab to replace my saggy original springs. well i put them in and it sure didnt level it. i dont understand why. they were like 4 inches taller than stock and it pretty much brought it back to stock height. now i have to get 2 inch coil spacers unless anybody has some they would like to get rid of with the bolt extenders. what are the rubber spacers on the bottom where the spring ride called so i can get new ones this time around. also does anybody know of good cheap coil over rear shocks. thats what i took out and i loved them but they were shot now these regular shocks i hate them i want coil overs back in but cant seemto find them under $100.

 

Not sure about your leveling coil problem. I got an aluminum 2" leveling kit off of eBay for around $45 shipped. Or you could check Fat Bob's Garage. Their kit is polyurethane and right around $50.

I have not installed the kit yet, so I can't speak for that.

I know Monroe makes a coil over shock, but the O'Reilly site is down so I can't find the price.
