fuel sending unit wire help

can someone please help me identifying which wire on the chassis is the one for the fuel sending unit. 76 short bed single tank behind axle. picture would be great if possible

The wire for the fuel gauge should break out of the frame wiring harness just ahead of the crossmember that's in front of the fuel tank.

ok perfect. thats the one i was thinking but then i saw another one that look just like it closer to the trans and was confused. do you know how i can test it to see if the gauge moves

Turn key on, Ground wire to frame guage should do something.

Yup, when you ground the wire with the ignition "on" the fuel gauge should swing all the way over to "full".
