towing capacity
You really need to know what rear end and engine you have as well as the PDF listed above.

All different weights.
Your truck has a listed Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR).
Your truck's 'loaded' weight subtracted from the GCWR figure is the remaining
'loaded' trailer weight you may tow legally.
Just considering the trailer weight without the toys and all other items don't do it.
For example:
Truck weight 5500.
GCWR 11,600.
11600 minus 5500 leaves 6100 lbs for a 'loaded' trailer.
A larger toy hauler will usually weigh in at over the limit for the truck.
Towing it will be a struggle.
Then there is the transmission, the brakes, tires etc that will be an issue more often.
Good luck.

They also could look in the owners manual, page 165.
With the info you gave, I can positively say your towing capacity is between 2,000 lbs and 8,800 lbs.
That is not fair, you went to google and typed "2003 F150 Towing Capacity" and then clicked on the first link and read it.

Yup. You caught me.

My 99 f150 4.6l 2wdr super cab short bed is rated to tow 5,500 lbs. I think my gear ratio is 3.73 not positive on that though. With these years ford I wouldn't feel comfortable towing any more than 6000 depending on your engine. The 2wd models tow a couple hundred pounds more than the 4wd models. Having a long bed helps a little also. Just make sure you have the appropriate hitch and have a pro set it up to any trailer you buy. I would not be able to tow my 23 ft travel trailer without my weight distribution hitch with anti sway. I had to get that and a brake controller installed on my truck for it to be ready to tow. A toy hauler may be just out of your weight range.
