Does it throw a code if your Fan is defective?
If you have a malfunction of your Fan in any way does it throw a code and if so what's the code number?
On my Scan Gauge diagnostic I have a Fan Speed indicator (FSS) but will it throw a code if there's anything wrong?

The truck will, but the gauge probably won't read it. Program a gauge for the DTC count. It does better at counting the number of stored codes, then you can use a better reader to see what they actually are once stored.

Torque Pro gave me a soft code. No check engine light. Torque pro didn't read the fan speed at all. Soft code was P0528 fan speed sensor circuit. There was soooo much play in the dome.
New oem fan clutch and all is well.
