Drove 90 miles today. Made 4 stops successfully. After 5th stop no starter until it had set for 20 or 30 minutes. Drove home before shutting off again. No starter. After sitting for an hour starts normally. Drove around half section. Still cranks and starts normally.
Could washing the truck have caused this? Never has before. But it's been on a ninety mile drive today and no more problems. No codes set either. Never did show a check engine light.
I don't think washing should cause it. When it won't start, try to start in neutral if it comes back. I suppose it could be vapor lock of some type, but seems strange.
Thanks. I tried neutral the first time, several times . Made no difference. This is an electrical problem of some kind. No hint at any attempt of activation of starter when it did it. It's not a vapor lock.
