Adding a front camera to the Sync 3
I just got a 2017 F-250 Lariat but it did not have the front camera. Is there a way to add it? The dealer said there was not but I find it difficult to believe that Ford would not make it relatively easy to add one.

Good luck! I know there are things that, for sure, can't be added after delivery as they can only be installed at the factory. Most of these have wiring harnesses that would be impracticable to add after the fact...

I had a local stereo shop install mine and it works great! To activate it all you do is hold the ok button on the steering wheel for 3 seconds and it will automatically come on the screen while in drive or Park. It will automatically go off over 7 miles per hour.

Hi Stroking... what comes with that front camera, cable wise?
Does the cable end in a RCA connector and a 12v input +/-?
I already have an interface for my Sync screen, has another composite input I want to use for a front camera. You've seemed to have found the camera I've been looking for.

Yes the camera terminates with RCA connections. You can call the camera Source directly they are very helpful. I chose this camera because it looked most Factory. It comes completely loomed. The camera has a 2 pin disconnect under the hood in case you ever have to remove your grill. Plus the camera comes with a 3-year warranty I guess you can't beat that. I did find a similar camera for only $49 with the one-year warranty but I chose to go with this one instead.
I like the looks of the the cam you bought, but $170 US converted to Canadian plus the shipping makes it a little pricey.
