Never got to the fireworks at Shaver, but did go to (B)*** Lake for their show twice. Lots of "interesting" people to watch and meet when you are in your late teens/early 20's.
The show in Anderson was great, and we had the booth cleared out of the Fairgrounds by midnight. It will be interesting to see how the boys did financially. I'll also be posting a video of them doing the Colors presentation before the fireworks. They have some things to work on, but still did a good job.
Happy Birthday USA! We will celebrate with a BBQ later this afternoon. Just having a few friends & neighbors over. Cooking some dead chicken, burgers, corn on the cob, chips & guac. Should be a nice time. Will have to run up to the corner to fill a couple of propane bottles.
A fine time was had by all last night. Listened/watched some boom boom in the valley after a nice BBQ. Pleasant weather, beautiful sunset; the whole shlemeal.
Took the dogs and meet up with my extended family in the Reno area yesterday, had a nice bbq and went down the the legends shopping center on the lake in sparks to catch the fireworks. Got up early this morning and helped my neighbor build a new fence to replace the chain link down the side if the property. Now trying to find a movie to go catch and let the movie theater pay for the AC.
We ended up staying local, and went to the fireworks display at a Clovis high School stadium. Got there too late to find a parking spot, so just drover around the area until the fireworks were done. Then had hot dogs and chips when we got back.
Happy Saturday Nor cal. Going to reach a high of 107 here they say. Excessive heat warning in effect. Which means I stay indoors all day. LOL not feeling well either. Stomach seems to be churning to a different tune this morning.
