Little red indicator under dash???

I honestly have no clue what it is. My Ford dealership doesn't even know. I own a 2004 Ford Ranger XL 2.3L so everything is basic if that helps. It is not a button either. I dont want remove it and cause some problems. Thanks!

HHmmmm does your truck have a alarm or remote start ??? might be something like that,,,I am guessing it is some after market add on

Everything is basic, I did find a keyfob in the glove box, but didnt find anything on it indicating its from ford. If it is aftermarket, could I follow the wires to the module to get another remote?

yeah, its aftermarket. May be an alarm or low smoke screen indicator
