Auto start?

Ok gang. I bought a used 2006 expedition and have a question about something I found. There is a 3.5mm plug in attatched under the steering column. The led blinks red when system is armed. Wasn't sure what it was. Followed the cables under the dash to a box. The only thing that's on it is "Rev. b. 6909P". A google search shows something that it may be a remote start from another thread on this site but from the thread it didn't tell me much. Maybe you guys can help me out please.

It's a Silencer 6909P keyless entry alarm module.

should this have had a separate remote or did they work it in to the stock system controls?

It's aftermarket so there should've been a separate remote.
