My truck came with a key fob (2) of them from the dealership but I'm uncertain if it's a "factory" alarm system or if the dealership installed it after the fact. Today, I'm down to one key fob and need to get another but I'm having trouble finding one that works. Already tried the dealership and we tried these - w7z 15k601 aa and f6uz 15k601 ab and they did not work.
My manual (volume 2 page 419-10B-2) shows that some of these trucks came with a (RAP) but, I'm not certain if I have that.
The one remote I have now is worn but the circuit board shows a number of PCB0170G RDC 8/96 AND I think the number on the outside is "GOH-M24" can't confirm the "GOH-M24 number.......it's worn.
Any ideas?
My truck has a factory alarm. There is a white plastic box, maybe 3"x4" underneath the dash on close to the drivers side. Crawl underneath the dash with the flashlight and shine up there next to the steering. If you see the white box, you have factory alarm. You can't miss it.
Yea, I looked and did not see anything that I thought was a controller, but that does not mean it's not there......I'll look again. I'm thinking it's a accessory.
Read first post.
Was told factory remotes uses the flat round batteries and after market remotes use the cylindrical A23 battery.
Mine uses the A23, suggesting it is aftermarket.
