Flashing red light with button on bottom
Have any ideas of what this could be? It blinks all the time was on the truck when I got it. Has a button in the bottom of it. This is on a 2009 super duty 250 and the 6.4 L if that matters.

It looks similar to an anti-theft/security system some dealerships install on there entire inventory. Similar to glass engraving. Then they try to sell it to you when you buy the vehicle. If you deny the option they usually leave it installed but permanently disable it.
Like the window engraving, its also terminate, they just don't register the engraved number code.

Follow the wires back and see where they go to. A module? Spliced into a harness? Any identifying labels or tags on the install?
FWIW, that connector barely visible in the photo appears to be the standard OBDII port.
