I had in my mind that these trucks came with a true LSD......glad I chose the rear locker......was the #1 complaint I had about a Tundra....no LSD and no option for a rear locker. Never made sense that you can get a locker on a Tacoma but not a Tundra.....
I agree! Not even on the TRD Pro. And I can tell you, the "auto lsd" doesn't do crap either.
Yes it will, I one in mine and even a 285/65/20 will fit
Pleased to hear this because the tires I ordered are 285/75 18 which is very close to the diameter of the 285/65 20 and want the spare to be the same as the tires I am running.
Some people on here said there is more room under the 2017 than the 2011-2016 trucks. If that is the case...I have fit a 37x13.50x20 in the stock spare location of my 2012.
Happy at least there is a spare. My Nissan Leaf doesn’t have a spare. The Tesla I test drove last week also doesn’t come with a spare. It comes with a phone number for Tesla road service. They deliver a new tire and rim to you on the road if you get a flat.

I just had a flat (pinched the tire on a curb) - probably took me as long to change in (on our 2017 f350) as it did to get road side assistance out to change TWO of our coach tire....
well, I have news for everyone-Ihave been doing tires for about 20 yrs, and a lot of of the manufacturers use different size spares, it about the rolling diameter, if its close it will be ok until you get the normal tire repaired or replaced -if its not repairable. Be thankful its not AWD like the subarus and many others that have had some issues.
It would be better than what they've included, which Imo is damn near worthless.
While this caught me by surprise...I wonder how many will never notice when they mount it?
Why is it worthless? As long as the load rating is the same or higher, it will keep you from being stuck on the side of the road.
2% difference is very minor IMO. Seems people forget that tires wear out. So the difference between 4 tires that are 70% worn down and a brand new spare of the exact brand/size I'm guessing will have ~2% difference... I'd expect as these LT tires wear down, they probably lose greater than 3/4" on the O.D. before touching the wear bars.
I don't think I've had a flat tire I the last 25 years. I have a 12 year old vehicle that still has the original spare that has never hit the ground.....except to add air about 1 or 2 times a year.
Hope you never have to use it. May have a catastrophic carcass failure as we say.

Amen. We spend a lot of time far from roadside assistance, and many times far from any cellular service. I wouldn't travel anywhere without a good spare.

Got your PM. Part Number and Nomenclature is = Flat Wheel Mount PN FTT10001BK Fab Tech. Hope this help others as well. I also have a hard cover that rolls back and locks by itself or locks with the tailgate lock. It is from Truck Covers USA that hides everything including my Jack and Mount Truck Covers USA | American Roll Cover.

Not cheap but I cannot have failure in the middle of nowhere at 2am and that has happened before--Never Again....
Thanks for the links. Do you know if there is a way to secure the wheel/tire and/or jack without a locking bed cover? I have large storage container I usually keep in the bed that is too tall for a cover.

Good question and I have no answer on that one. The other reason besides security I have the cover is to keep the UV's off the tire and rain off the jack because it does not fit in the garage.
