could be disastrous to run a smaller tire/wheel on a DRW.
I would think you would only put the spare on the front...

at least Ford hasn't gotten to the point of adding a full size spare only as a paid for option

It would be better than what they've included, which Imo is damn near worthless.
While this caught me by surprise...I wonder how many will never notice when they mount it?

I don't think I've had a flat tire I the last 25 years. I have a 12 year old vehicle that still has the original spare that has never hit the ground.....except to add air about 1 or 2 times a year.

It makes absolutely no difference that it's a different size being that we have either an open diff or an elocker. That said, the only thing annoys me is that like CRSFX4, I never seem to get flats. So, if it were a 20", I could work it in on my next tire change so I'd only have to buy 3. I've done that on many of my other vehicles but can't here. Ah well. First world problems for sure...

now Im gonna have to see if the 275/65/20 will squeeze in the spare carrier, just to know.

I would have preferred the bliss of ignorance that my spare was not even the same size rim, thanks

The stock 20" size will fit up there. It's less than 1" difference in diameter and there is plenty of room.

well, you're probably going to have a flat tire sometime soon now.

F-350 DRWs are LT245/75R17E - all 7 tires are the same size. You can choose all-season or all-terrain tread, and steel, steel with chrome wheel cover, or aluminum (with steel inside-dual) wheels.

Yep, I have done it to myself for sure.......
My '15 Mustang doesn't even have a spare.......they come with a can of "fix-a-flat" and a POS 12V compressor........so I'm not going to complain too much about the spare on the SD.......

17's on the F-350 and 19.5 on the F-450...the rear's have limited slip so you need the same size tire. If you don't engage the 4x4 you can get by with a little different height tire for short period of time on the front axle.

That's a 34" tire and it should fit...some guys ran 35's in the spare tire carrier on some F-150's.

I had in my mind that these trucks came with a true LSD......glad I chose the rear locker......was the #1 complaint I had about a Tundra....no LSD and no option for a rear locker. Never made sense that you can get a locker on a Tacoma but not a Tundra.....
