I have a 6 liter 2005 e350 diesel that starts great when cold and runs well all the time but after it warms up it just cranks but won't fire up. But if i shoot ether into the intake it will start. It doesn't show any failure codes. Any Ideas? DJ
#1: Don't EVER use ether to start a glowplug diesel. It can cause CATASTROPHIC results.
#2: Does it still have the OEM oil filter and cap or is it one of the tall aftermarket ones?
#3: Has it ever had the STC fitting on the HPOP replaced?
#4: There are lots of threads and diagnostics here about hot no starts that might help you and I urge you to read through the tech folder for lots of helpful information.
To add to Tim's advice, you might have bad dummy plugs or stand pipe seals, among a few other things.
If you don't already, you will need a way to monitor data live.
