The truck in my signature has a bad injector in cylinder #8. The injectors have approximately 50,000 mile on them. Would it be a bad thing if I replace only the bad one? Thank you for your help.
The current injectors were installed by a Ford dealer back when it had 95,000 miles on it while it was still under warranty. It now has 145,000 miles.
Not sure if this makes any difference, but I'm the second owner. I bought it with 105,000 miles on it. The original owner was a fire department. I've been vary **** about maintaining it like how it has been suggested on this forum. Oil changes every 5,000 miles, new fuel filters every other oil change. HFCM get drained every oil change. Only OEM filters. I'm a bit perplexed why an injector would go bad after only 50k miles. Shouldn't they last longer?

If you get a ford reman they are ready to install out of the box. The orings and copper washer are installed already just need to oil up the orings and slide it home. Also oil the top of the injectors with oil before installing the oil rail as not to cut the orings ontop of the injector.
