Help. Have only had my 91 bronco for a few months and just last week it started making a loud humming/engine revving (kinda sounds like a crotch rocket) when I'm decelerating and not pushing the gas pedal. Once my rpm hit 1000 it starts this but doesn't move up or down unless I push the gas pedal. I have checked fluids (tranny fluid is full while engine is warm and red) 4wd is off and cruise control is off.

I would take a hard look at the rear end. My 78 makes a similar noise. It started after I had to rebuild the rear end after I blew it up doing a burn out. Yes, stupid, but I know better now haha my gear as that I didn't get the gears set correctly. After I get it running again, that will be on the list of things to fix
