SF Bay Area repair shop? - Suspension/General Inspection
Hi all,
I bought a 1978 Bronco from a good friend who lives in Oakland, CA and I will be flying there to drive it home to Chicago in early August. I'm on a really tight timeline, so I need this old girl ready to drive once I get there. Do you guys have any recommendations for a good repair shop close to Oakland for a general once-over and some suspension work?
My friend reports having encountered the "death wobble" on a few occasions while driving at highway speed and hitting a pothole. My understanding is that the most likely culprit are the track bar bushings, but it may also be a compounding factors of many worn parts in the front suspension assembly.
I don't think the shop necessarily needs to be one that specializes in broncos, as I understand this to be common with many solid front axle trucks. You guys have anyone in particular that you trust?
Thanks!
