Shifting Noise
Once again...just trying to get everything out. My truck is auto, and it shifts out of first very hard. When ever i have to put the pedal down and not let up...the car shifts at the right rpm but there is a relatively loud noise once it shifts...I thought was the gear teeth not meshing right at first...but once again not sure. I just hope the tranny's good for now.

My 89 did the same thing quiet a few years ago and it ended up being the rear end needing a rebuild. Maybe you won't be stuck with that though. Probably wouldn't hurt if you drained and refilled your rear end fluid as well as check your u-joints on the rear shaft.
