No one seems to make an aftermarket drivers door for the 2001-2003 S-Crew

I have been searching for an aftermarket bare driver's door for a 2001 crew cab and have come up short. Regular and supercab are available new for a very reasonable price from several vendors. Reworking a 17 years old a rusty junkyard door is not a very appealing project. I find it strange no one makes doors for the 01-03 as there are a whole lot of them still on the road. Maybe I just have not looked in the right place. Any suggestions?

depending on what is wrong with the door, I have looked at cutting off the lower skin INSIDE the trim line and installing this below......... lots of shops use an epoxy glue to install and don't weld anymore.

Everything I have seen says the same gen Expedition front doors will fit. I have read multiple posts all over the internet that they should interchange, but nobody has ever posted a follow up to verify.

Yes , I have seen the lower skins that are available, but my problem is up a bit higher. It seems the rubber door dent strip(I call it) was not sealed as it should have been on the top side and water had been laying in there for who knows how long. By the time I noticed the paint bubbling just above and below it the damage was already done. Pulled the strip off and there is a rust spot about the size two grapefruit side by side. So rusty I could easily push through with fingers if I would try. I also saw that someone said an Expedition might fit. Wouldn't bet on it and they are as rare as hens teeth in my area anyway.
May have to resort to cobbling some sort of home repair as labor would be a killer to hire it fixed. A real Bummer, I would say.

Yeah, everything I have seen says the Supercrew bodywork is the same from the grill to the back of the front door, but have never seen anyone actually post the results of doing it.
I did read somewhere that the interior handle mounted a little different, but is a matter of drilling out some rivets and moving it and re-securing it (all the holes are there if taken from a later model expedition). Again, all hearsay, so I understand the reluctance.
