Instrument panel back is falling apart

I have one of those flimsy panel backs and I remember a guy on here years ago that was a retired Ford parts guy that found me some info on where to get a good one to replace it but I didn't have the money for it back then. Now I do so I should see if I can still find one. Anyone know where I can? And is that guy still around?

Uh...
What year is the truck, does it have oil/amp gauges or oil/amp warning (idiot) lamps?

Hard plastic cluster backs were introduced in 1981 Econolines, were the 'service part replacements' for the POS composition cluster backs.

E1PZ-10848-B .. Hard Plastic Cluster Back-Use with Oil/Amp Warning (idiot) Lamps / Obsolete

1981/86 Econoline; retrofit: 1975/79 F100/350; 1975/80 Econoline; 1978/79 Bronco.

PRAIRIE MOTORS in Stanley ND has 1 = 701-628-2855.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 4 = 800-543-4959.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 24 = 800-476-9653.

If you go to a junkyard, look for a 1981/86 Econoline instrument cluster, but the printed circuit board will be different.

1976/78 F100/350 & Econoline, 1978 Bronco with Oil/Amp Warning Lamps use a different printed circuit board than 1973/75 F100/350; 1979 F100/350 & Bronco; 1979/86 Econoline.

Circuit board and the cluster back are also different with Oil/Amp gauges.

Last one I bought, I got off eBay. It was actually for a later model year econoline, so it looked a little different in a side-by-side comparison. But the important thing is that it works great!

And, it came with part of the econoline dash, so I had an extra piece I didn't need

Ok. I have all the info I need now to order one so I can get the dash lights fixed. Thanks ND and PBY!
