After extending the side mirrors on my 2008 F250, the fuse blows when attempting to retract them. I'm guessing it's a bad mirror switch causing the problem but I really have no idea. Has anyone else seen this?
Thanks to those in the FTE community, my telescoping mirror problem is resolved. In short, I was told that the mirrors could be manually pulled out / pushed in and another person said it might be that the mirrors were somehow "stuck" in the extended position.
I pushed them both in manually then used the switch to re-extend them out. What'd you know; it worked! I was able to electrically extend / retract them multiple times without incident. As far as I'm concerned the problem is solved. I'm assuming that they were too far out and the motor was unable to start them back in so the fuse kept blowing.
