CPP and auto trans ... necessary??

CPP and auto trans ... necessary??
(also cross-posted in 'transmission' forum, as i wasn't sure which category to use)
i'm using OEM harnesses from '95 F150 to wire up a '52 F3 w/ '95 drivetrain (yes, this was an insane idea).
anyway, i've pared away most of the stuff i don't need trying to leave just basics. can i cut out the circuit for the CPP since i'm running an E4OD and the PCM will look to the MLPS for neutral start, or, does it need to stay for the PCM to be happy?

Clutch Pedal Position switch.
I believe with the E4OD there is some kind of "jumper" which I presume just makes the circuit active all the time (since there is obviously no clutch involved) -- but the Manual Lever Position Sensor apparently serves the same function for the automatics (acting as Neutral Safety Switch), so I wasn't sure if it was actually necessary. (Clearly it just made sense for FORD to have a single harness for both, and then disable whichever depending on transmission.)

Ok, let's see if I got this straight; You are using a 95 5.0 fuel injected engine and computer that was originally for a manual transmission? And now you are going to use the same engine and computer but with a E4OD? If that is true, what is going to shift the E4OD?
My book shows pin 30 on the computer used for "neutral drive switch". What they usually use this for is different idle strategies for when the engine is just sitting there with no load, or when it's idling with the load of the torque convertor on the engine.
If I am wrong and you are using the proper engine, computer, and trans, then I would hook it up as original with the switch.

nope...
using 5.8, E4OD, and harnesses all from '95.
just paring down to the bare necessities since i don't need the majority of the electronics (air bags, ABS, 4x4, on and on and on...).
so was just wondering if i could cut out the circuit for CPP since i'm running an auto. ford just used a jumper, but if i can remove it, it makes for a cleaner install and fewer wires.

What pin is your CPP using on the computer? In the diagram below pin 30 which is the neutral drive pin is hooked into the trans wiring.

According to the above diagrams you are going to have to wire pin 2 into the old truck brake circuit.
