I bought a 93'Bronco with a 5.8L that had a bad trans, no forward gears. Before I pulled the pan and found it full of metal I ran the codes and it had a MLPS too high or too low code.
I bought a used E4OD from a guy that pulled it from a wrecked 95' F250.
I have the trans installed and used the wiring harness from the new trans because the connector for the MLPS was different than the connector on my Bronco's harness. The new harness has two extra connectors near the back of the trans, but it doesn't have the plug near the front that goes to what looks like a sensor/switch on a brake line.
Anyhow, two questions:
What is that sensor/switch?
Can I use a 93' MLPS with the 95' E4OD so I can use the original 93' wiring harness?
Thanks guys, I didn't want to use the old one because I suspected it was bad. I bought a new one today for a 93' and found out the whole deal with different connectors through the instructions with it. Unfortunately while putting it back on I really screwed up.(see "did I break my E40D?" post)
