I just fixed the wife's 2004 Explorer's leaking sunroof this morning. The drain was clogged, the tube itself was fine and connected.
Removed sunvisor (both brackets to give headliner more flex), door gasket from top/front, pulled off A-pillar (the superduty needs to remove grab handle w/screws first)
pulled drain tube, pushed screw driver up in to the roof drain and water came pouring iut. Attached drain tube, poured glass of water on roof, water flowed out drain tube, fixed.

The drain pan and tube of our sunroof

Thanks for sharing info on your leak. My 2010 F150 FX4 had a roof leak and I found a TSB about the CHMSL gasket being bad (fixed it myself). I was shopping for a 2017 KR, but all the local units had sunroofs, so I ordered one without the sunroof. Wife's 2013 Explorer LTD has the glass roof and I found it annoying ... always pull the shade closed when I'm driving. Good luck with your replacement!

What's the story on this truck that it had previous damage? I can only assume hail damage to the roof?
