EDIT-
Is this a COE or LOUISVILLE?

Pretty decent farm truck. He is needing a few odds and ends parts for inside the left hand door. Possibly window regulator....some door latch mechanism.
The closest "big" truck dealer just blew him off,
so I told him I would check here. I'm hoping Bill or someone would be kind enough to post some parts diagrams of inside the left door so we can get some part #'s and begin the search.
2 = Detroit model 6-71N 426 cid 6 cylinder diesel or Cummins model NTC290 855 cid 6 cylinder diesel.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
FA7575 = 1979.
My computer has a glitch, so I cannot post parts catalog pics.
If the window has fallen down inside the door, the window roller (that attaches to the stud of the regulator, then fits into the window channel that the glass is adhered to) has broken.
But if the window goes down/comes up in a series of jerks, the window regulator is worn out, time for a new one.
F5HZ-8023201-AA .(replaced D0HZ-8023201-A & EOHZ-8023201-A) .. Left Window Regulator / Obsolete
PNW sources:
WAY SCARFF FORD in Auburn WA has 1 = 800-543-2705.
NORTHSIDE FORD TRUCKS in Portland OR has 8 = 503-282-7782.
Is this the dealer that blew your cousin off? If so, go back and look in his parts catalog, this part is the same for all 1970/95 Louisvilles.
Look carefully at the pic of the doors internal parts, especially if the parts cluck won't give you the part numbers.
Cluck will probably say all the parts are obsolete, but besides these 9 regulators, there are at least 48 more available NOS across the US (dealer in ID has 5) .. Plus whatever other parts you need may be available NOS
The inside door handle screws to the door lock remote control that has a coil spring inside it. The spring breaks, the door handle flops around. The spring could also be bought by itself.
btw: If you cousin doesn't live in OR .. where does he live? There's a Ford Truck dealer in Tukwila WA that was once an FTE parts sponsor, gave parts discounts.

Thanks Bill. That was very very helpfull.....I really appreciate it.

Yep, that was the place that blew him off....told him they have no books or fiche or anything to look up parts on something like that. We are in Central Oregon, about 150 miles away from them, so we are doing all this over the phone.
This gives us a great starting place and we will proceed accordingly.
Thanks again.

Uh huh,
this is the usual excuse that these clucks use when they don't want to mess with older trucks. We are in Central Oregon, about 150 miles away from them, so we are doing all this over the phone.

Beginning in the mid 1990's, all these clucks have to do, is type the vehicles specific VIN into Fords computer system and ALL the part number appear on the screen.
So the clucks don't have to look up one part number in a catalog.
The parts cluck at this dealer obviously lied, since they have 8 of these regulators, so the cluck has to have a heavy truck parts catalog. It may not be 1973/79, but I'll bet it's either 1980/89 or 1990/2001.
You are saying that HT is still in the CDP? There is no reason for a car/LMT dealer to have the old info as the parts are obsolete unless NOS and FORD dropped HT like a hot potato (along with MERC Division).

The other thing these clucks say, is they have no parts catalogues for older vehicles. IMO: This is BS!
This Portland OR Ford truck dealer has 8 of the 1970/95 Louisville left window regulators, so would have to have parts catalogs to look up their applications.
At one time, don't know about today, Daimler-Benz owned Freightliner. When Chrysler Corp suffered severe financial losses, Daimler-Benz purchased Chrysler, changed the name to Diamler/Chrysler.
A few years later (after running Chrysler into the ground), Daimler sold 83% of Chrysler to Cerberus Capital Management, a private investment group, retaining 17%.
When Chrysler went bankrupt, Cerberus divested themselves of Chrysler, then Chrysler got US Gov't "bail-out bucks."
After all was said and done, FIAT purchased Chrysler, paid off the US Gov't bail-out bucks, so now the corporation is known as FIAT/Chrysler.

Parts guys that don't want to mess with older vehicles will say the parts are OBSOLETE the second the customer mentions the year.

Regardless, they are on a locator system, that's how they are showing, correct?

When a part is obsoleted, dealers have one year to return it to FoMoCo for credit. If not returned during this time frame, the dealers are STUCK with it.
Parts are still available (GOOGLE the PN). STERLING was based on the FORD L-Series so I would imagine a lot of cab parts will interchange if having trouble sourcing NOS parts. There are many large salvage yards that specialize only in HT.
I notice C and H truck salvage yard in Nebraska are always advertising lots of L series parts.
