I've been using Chemical Guys products for years on my Harley's, Corvette etc with great results. Never been a fan of most products sold at the auto parts stores.

Get chemicalguys ceramic coating with booster if your into coating......I've been using the meguirs waterless wash/wax and that stuff is amazing!! Wipe twice for ultimate shine with waterless wash. Tires, I like to use Griots black shine on the tires and trim- stuff works awesome with little to no tire fling. Key to using it on tires is very little needed to shine extremely wet, add another little coat after 15 minutes but you won't need to. Initially, the first cost might not seem like it's enough but give it a few minutes and it'll dig into the rubber and shine no time, if your spraying and it's really wet from the start then your spraying too much unless you don't care about the tire fling.. Depends on user applying as for as that goes.....good luck! LASTLY, DONT BE LAZY when it comes to detailing and you'll get somewhere!

Regarding all the plastics on the truck such as mirror caps, top of front bumper and all the plastic along the top of rear bumper and size rails etc, use this plastic cleaner/restorer. It will keep it bright and shiny and you'll only need to apply once every few months where armor all will fade after 3-4 days.

Good luck!
matix........ that Trinova stuff is great. I just returned from vacation and got my hands on it yesterday AM. I tried a little before I left for work. By this AM I had it on every piece of black plastic on my F150. It is fabulous and easy to apply.

Thanks!! I'm sure I'll be using this for many years to come and have already told a few other people about it. Thanks again!!

Good good! My neighbor used it on his Chevy Avalanche, the plastic trip on the rear half of the truck is known to fade big time. His went from the original black color to a dull grey color. He used this product on all his plastic and it literally looks brand new and looks as if he spray painted it black. This stuff works wonders and is a great piece to have for your cleaning arsenal especially if you have a lot of black plastic.

What are you guys using for tire "bloom"? That nasty brown color that comes to the surface on the sidewalls. I still have the factory Michelins and they bloom something fierce. Do you just put dressing over it or do you try and clean it off first? I bought some Griot's Rubber Cleaner and it took it off. Then used their Matte tire dressing. A week or less later the brown was back.

What you're seeing (the brown) is called Antiozonant. It's what keeps your tires from developing ozone cracks. It works its way to the surface over the life of the tire and looks chocolate brown.
I use Super Clean to get it off. It cleans the rubber very well, but is a very caustic cleaner that you don't want on your painted wheels. The best way to "hide" the Antiozonant is to use dressing.
I hope this is of some help.
Bob
