Bug Remover

Not really Ford specific, but what do you all use to remove bugs from your plastic mirrors, bug deflectors etc. I just had my truck detailed & they got all of the road grime & bugs off. My bug remover is not safe for plastic so what works?

I have used a few products in the pass but for the most part some water, soap, and a little bit of elbow grease takes them off for me.

Simple Green is what I used to use and it worked pretty good.

+1 on the simple green...after you have all the "stuff" off, coat the plastics with some Pledge furniture polish. It keeps them from sticking too bad,and actually keeps some from sticking at all.I used this trick on my Plane windscreen, and leading edges of the wings...worked like a charm.

I use one of the scrubbies that are made for Teflon Pans. Dip it in the wash water, and scrub lightly on the front end. Gets rid of the bugs, and you can go back over the area if need be.

Simple Green. It's all I use. Apply full strength. Let it side for a minute. Scrub with a bug remover pad. If it didn't all come off, do it again. I use it on tar and bugs.
