Mine was built the day before yours and shows absolute black as well. I'm sure it's the same as shadow black. My interior also shows ebony which is black on my order Sheet. Mines heading west to BC Canada with an ETA of July 2.
BGMSPD, mine was built the same day as yours, only F350 diesel. I had given up on Etis showing anything besides my build date but just got on and checked after seeing your post. My specs also say "absolute black". I'm a little bummed that I didn't get front fenders or water wading equipment.
Mine also says no front fenders? Not sure what that means but I'm sure it will have fenders. Mine also 350 diesel. CCLB, ultimate Platinum. Going from a 2010 F150 this should handle the trailer and toys a lot better. 150 is Tuxedo black and still lots new 7 years later, hope the new black is as good.
Absolute Black (Code G1) was added to the F-Series trucks in 2016. It is a pearl black compared to Code "UH" Tuxedo Black which is a heavy metallic black introduced in 2010. Ebony Black (code UA/UD) was discontinued after 2012 which was a non-metallic black. Auto paint is what I do....
I'm just glad to see this is the normal color for this truck. However my truck is also missing the water wading equipment. I had to go back and make sure I read that correctly like three times.
Not to go off topic but that was pretty funny seeing that.
Absolute Black for me also. Is this an actual color change? And no water wading equipment. lol.
I got on one of the dealer sites and got the VIN from a shadow black truck sitting on their lot. It was built last november. I loaded the vin in Etis and it came up as absolute black. So, I don't think it's a color change that recently occurred.
