V-Code Spring Question

I picked up a set of used V code front springs for my Excursion. They have 2 long leafs and then 4 or 5 short ones in a stack. I took off the short ones leaving the 2 long ones but should I keep any of the short ones?

V codes go in the front unmodified.

B codes go in the rear and are generally modified on excursions.

I think you are mixing them up.

First, like John posted, I believe you're confusing front and rear spring codes.

Second, tell us what you're trying to do and we'll tell you how to do it, because if you're trying to mod a B code, you're not doing correctly if you're trying to eliminate leaves from the pack.

I get it Big Sky, you bought a set of used V code front leaves that has a mini pack lift kit (level kit) already on them, that is what the stack of 4/5 short leaves is all about. The actual V codes are only 2 leaves like all the rest of the OEM front springs.
You can leave as many of those short leaves on as you want, their total thickness will determine the amount of additional lift you see from the V code swap over what Vs will provide over your stock leaves.

Perfect-That was the answer I was looking for! Thanks

I use the short, level kit on my rig with the V Springs up front.
