distributor identification

1967 F250 352 motor. I need to get a new cap and rotor. I'm not sure what I have for a distributor because it is electronic and has no points as was on this truck originally. I don't see any numbers on the distributor body. Does this look like the original distributor with the electronic module installed in place of the points or was it swapped out at some point from some other year. The coil still has the ring terminals on it and not the HEI plug that was on the later years on the primary side.
Thanks

Sounds like a Pertronix unit in the original distributor.

2X. That's what I thought as well.
OP, if it is the original Ford Dizzy the engineering numbers for identification will be molded and stamped in the housing like this.

I won't need the numbers now. That looks like a Factory Ford Dizzy.
Cap....D7TZ12106A. Replaced B7A12106A.
Rotor..D5PZ12200A. Replaced B7A12200A.
Wires..E5PZ12259GR. Replaced D6PZ12259DR. Which replaced D6PZ12259D. Which replaced C5AZ12259F,

All 3 still available from Ford.
Note....2 year Manufacturer's defect warranty if bought from a Dealer and receipt retained. (not if the cap and rotor wear out naturally)

This cap also takes wires with different terminal types @ the cap terminals.

The cap you pictured is part number E6TZ12106A. Like this.

The D7TZ12106A (gray) replaced the D5AZ12106A (BLUE) The D7TZ12106A looks like this.

D5AZ-12106-A (replaced B7AZ-12106-A Hi-Po) .. H/D Dizzy Cap

D5AZ-12106-A is blue .. B7AZ-12106-A was brown and was used on all 1957/74 Passenger Cars with Hi-Po engines.

I sold a B7AZ several years ago to a guy w/a '66 GT350 for 500 bucks.

OP, I have made an egregious error.

Your PN's for a standard size cap are 100% correct. I forgot the service progression upgrades of dist caps B7A-A to D5AZ-A to D7TZ-A.

I am so sorry if this post caused you and others confusion.

I am now retiring to my safe spot to hopefully survive the expected incoming...

TWO different B7A dizzy caps:

B7A-12106-A dizzy cap (black) was never replaced .. B7AZ-12106-A dizzy cap (brown) was replaced in 1975 by D5AZ-12106-A (blue).

B7AZ-12106-A brown Hi-Po dizzy cap was introduced in 1957, initially installed in Ford/Thunderbird/Mercury 312's with dual quads or Supercharger.

All other 1957 Ford V8's came with the B7A-12106-A black dizzy cap.

Prior to 1977, dizzy caps have female ends. Beginning in 1977, dizzy caps have male ends, below the cap is an extension that the cap clips to.
