I am attempting to put the door glass, starting with the wing windows and am having nothing but trouble with the seals. The area around the hinge gas about 1mm of gap. Ive tried to bend the frame but it seems that when you screw it back in reverses your work.
I just replaced the seals on mine but I haven't installed them into the doors yet. I will look at mine and see if they have the same gap or not. Will get back later this morning.
Same issue I have on my 53. I was able to shim the back side of the frame to get it somewhat fixed but I'm not happy with it. When you shim the back side it moves the whole unit back into the division bar.
No gap in mine but they aren't installed. Did you use these brass bushings? Not sure if they would keep the outer frame from collapsing into the door frame or not.
I ended up just shimming the little hinge post about 1mm. There is still an ever so small amount of daylight visble, but you'd have to have good eyes to see it. I think it might even be possible to glue a thing piece of rubber or a tiny scrap piece of window tape flush on the back of the frame and seal it.
