Vent window seals started...a few questions

Finally had a stretch of warm weather so I'm getting started on my wing window project.

Dropped the wing windows at a tint shop to be removed and re-glued (butyl, whatever) in the frame. He's also going to tint them with 15% ceramic tint and when the snow melts I'll bring him the while truck to tint the rest. The wing window frame was pulling away from the glass near the handle, also causing a sealing issue.

The PO had installed some cheap seals, hope the DC Ford ones I have are worth what I spent!

The dew wipes/anti rattles or whatever you want to call them are like new, however several of the clips broke when I was removing the felts. Possible to just replace the clips or just get new ones? Also fir new ones DC Ford? Or is there another reputable source?

I noticed little nylon washers under the wing window pivot and also at the upper rivet pivot. Can those be had at the hardware store? Is the rivet special? Or just use whatever fits

also noticed the little tab that connects the inner and outer door skin is cracking at the edges. Plan to drill the end, grind it out a bit and fill it with tack welds

TIA,

Josh

Dew strips/anti rattle/cat whiskers ect..., part #21452 just remove the old and get new. I used Jeffs Bronco Graveyard great fit and finish.

I got this kit was very pleased did not change the vent seal since it was good.

No help on the rivet or broken tab, welding sounds like it should work.

Allright, dew wipes (anti-rattle kit, whatever) and new wing window handles on the way from JBG. The driver's handle was fairly worn and sloppy, also contributing to the window not sealing. I'm off to the hardware store and paint and body supply to try and find replacement nylon washers. I watched the precision restoration video again and they stated a #20 stainless pop rivet in 1/64"-1/8" grip range is to be used.

Also going to try and massage a dent out of the passenger door, put some dynomat inside and make new door panel under panels

FYI be very very careful and patient driving the very small pin out that holds the handle on. The stud that the handle mounts is not replaceable unless you replace the metal wing part. And if you have none locking handles I believe you have to use the same style?

Also hope you are getting new pins to go back in? A brass head hammer works great putting them in.

Did you get chrome plated metal or black plastic replacement handles?

Replacing chrome non-locking with the same. Already had them off once for a look.

Here are some pics of the cracked tabs I was talking about.

Don't mind the paint chips, they're from the PO doing the wing window seals, I'm guessing they were cheap LMC ones by how the leaked.
