Question for adjusting shift points with the diablo predator

I have recently purchased and loaded/installed the Diablo Predator and a set of gauges (pyro, boost and tranny). A local diesel mechanic suggested I adjust all of my shift points up about 200 rpm to keep the boost pressure up (in an attempt to increase fuel mileage). Is this theory true? I have read several posts about guys adjusting their shift points. Can you guys tell me why you adjusted your shift points and what you adjusted them to? The manual that came with the Predator is a little vague in covering the topic of adjusting shift points. Can I adjust shift points on all of the programs or just the high performance program? I run the economy tune primarily and run the truck around town a lot. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Question for adjusting shift points with the diablo predator

First time I've heard anything like this (shift points for boost). Since mileage is usually calculated for the highway, with little shifts, its not going to make much difference. The best thing you can do for mileage is watch the EGTs. Boost is great but if all that fuel isn't being burned then its going to drag down the mileage.

The current version of the Predator does not allow you to change shift points, only shift firmness. When Diablo releases that feature you'll be able to upgrade your Predator to support it.
