The harness is in the dash to plug the switches into. Sometimes it is tucked deep in the dash and you have to search for it. The switches require the relay box that mounts in the park brake area of the dash. For most part, the kit is plug and play. The mounting of the relay box is a pain from what i have read.

Here is a kit that shows the parts and part numbers.

Ford Super Duty Upfitter Auxiliary Switch Kit (Part No: SPRDTYUPFITSW)

here are the installation instructions from Ford.

I adding switches after the fact. Harness I'd there. Plenty of YouTube videos about it. I did it in the parking lot of a baseball diamond before one of my kids games.

How did you mount the relay box? With bolts or zip ties?

My understanding is it comes with the mounting hardware in the relay box kit.

It comes with a screw(or 2), and screws in under the dash near the parking brake. The holes are already there, no drilling necessary.

If you do not have the upfitter switches mounted in the dash, odds are you do NOT have the relay box either. I would say 99.99999999999% chance you do not have the relay box if no switches.
