I am needing to get new tires on my EX. I live in northeast Colorado and drive about 80% paved and 20% dirt. I want a good all around tire for snow, ice and mud. I don't want too aggressive, I don't go off road at all. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot but I don't want to be too cheep.
I was facing the same decision a year ago. I ended up going with BF Goodrich All Terrains, load range E. I am completely satisfied with their performance through all seasons, on and off road. They even improved the ride of my EX over the previous tires. They run $199 each installed locally, which isnt cheap, but I expect a decent life span and good performance will make them a great value.
Cooper discoverer ST Maxx. It's a hybrid highway/ mud terrain with great on road manners and not to loud. Mildly Aggressive looks to. Quieter and better performing than BFG's.
Diverdom thanks for that photo. I am also planning on getting the bfg's ko2 on the stock wheels. But I might paint the wheels black and leave the center caps chrome.
All of you guys chiming in, please make sure you post your experience in the appropriate tire review thread for your tire, found in the tire review section of the tech folder.

What size tires did you get?
285/75/16 E rated. Rides great, good in snow and rain. Not great in mud, but not supposed to.be. All four inflated to 50psi.
+1 on the BFG All Terrain. Just got rid of mine. Had 57k miles on them and they were still at 5/32. Ended up swapping them and the OEM rims for a good deal on some rims and tires.
I like the BFG AT2 on mine as well, but there are probably other tires that perform equally well. You will get a lot more information by reading the reviews on tirerack.com. There are hundreds of reviews for every tire and pricing information as well even if you don't go buy from them.
