Bucket Seats?

Hi All,

I bought my '58 shortbed about a year ago. The original seat was in total disrepair so I pulled it out and planned on putting some bucket seats in place instead. Problem I'm having is finding some good seats to work with that won't break the bank. Most seats I've looked at have too wide a stance or too deep a back that it won't really fit well with the truck.

Anyone install bucket seats they would recommend? I can fabricate a seat mount to go with the mounting bracket on the seat but would like something with a slimmer back so I'm not so close to the steering wheel!

Thanks for any advice.

Have seats out of 90s pontiac minivan. They were the middle buckets from the back seat, they are a little tall and we want to cut them down a little but they work just fine for us and we still have the tank in the cab.

Those look nice but kinda close to the pedals.

Thanks jwhall_75, I'm heading to the local pick & pull this weekend so I'll keep my eye out for these too!

1965/66 F100/250 Rangers were the first Ford trucks to come with bucket seats (standard equipment 1965/66, optional 1967/72).

The 1965/66 Ranger bucket seats, seat tracks and upholstery (except with running horse on backrest) same as 1965/66 Mustang.

But Rangers required 4 brackets that bolted to the floor pan then to the seat tracks to raise and level the seats. These brackets have been reproduced by an FTE member.

These came from a 2003 GMC Envoy. Shoulder strap seat belts are part of the seat, that is why I chose them.

Seat cover on 1961 econoline pick up

Hello,
I have a 1961 econoline pick up and the seat covers are shot. MAC's sells seat covers for the econoline years 1964-1965. Does anyone know if these covers will work on the 1961 seat frame?
Thanks
