New here and am excited to pick everyones brains! Just picked up a 1964 econoline thats mechanically sound w/ the v8 conversion. Needs minor things done ,but its a strong runner.
Heres my first problem. It has no seats! Can anyone point me in a direction as to where to shop for a replacement seat? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You need a narrow seat with a short bottom. Many sports car seats, like Fiero, Miata seats work. Measure the width from passenger door to dog house for your seat max width. That side is narrower than the driver side.
for the original Econoline seats, the 1961-1964 seats and brackets are different from the 1965-1967 seats. If you have both seat and bracket, it should work in any year. The 1965-1967 seats sat lower because they rotated the steering column to bring the steering wheel a little lower.
