slim pickings near you means this truck will go for more than it's worth but I'll bet you could get it for 4K or so which I don't think would be a bad deal if it drives well.
Best of luck.
I put a $4k offer out to the Syracuse guy, but no reply for a little while.
.... I got one but I like that one better and that's my engine combination also...... Shameless request... I know...
For both our sake, I hope I come through.
I hate when people want to "see whats out there". People at that stage aren't ever going to get the 25k that it would require for them to let go of their favorite truck. I live in Pittsburgh, I'll see if I can hunt him down and punch him in the face for you.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Thats no joke, I love the "just testing the waters" say what ? Cuz there are a few thousand folks who have been staying up at night waiting for you to 'think about' selling your truck
, Gotta love stuff like "I know what my truck is worth, don't bother offering anything lower, don't waste my time" I guess you had better bow down to that seller upon arrival and give him a 10% finders fee ??
And yeah... the Pittsburgh guy just hung on the phone after saying all that like I was supposed to be taking out a second mortgage for an offer to throw his way. Not a big fan.

I could potentially ship this one:

Or potentially pick up this one:

And I'd have to get these shipped and fixed before I could keep them in the driveway:

Have you guys ever worked with eBay for trucks? Is that a safe enough option?

Do not believe a single word that private sellers claim, as they lie just like new/used car dealers, lawyers, politicians & TV evangelists.
Do not believe the miles shown on the odometer, as it reads to 99999.9 then returns to ZERO!
If you cannot inspect the trucks in person, hire someone to do it. There are ads for people that do this in the Services Offered section of Hemming's Motor News.
ebay also has people that inspect vehicles, but I've never used them.
If you buy a vehicle without inspecting it, you most likely will end up with a pig-in-a-poke (rusty POS old rolling pile of miseries).
2004/2008: I purchased 5 cars on ebay, sold two cars on ebay.
