I actually have a bluetooth adapter for the obd2 port, however my truck won't talk to anything... and if I try to read codes when the truck is running it shuts the truck off.
That is normal for 1st year Power Strokes. Once the adapter is connected you can restart the truck (just don't turn the key off or it will lose connection again) and it will work fine.
Use the free FORScan software on your phone or laptop with your adapter and it can do almost everything the SnapOn tool will do.
AFAIK, if you used Torque, and not specifically Torque Pro, it won't work. You need the configurability of Torque Pro. What scantool on your laptop did you use?
I've only gotten the stall when attempting to obtain codes, not when connecting. And that's only with "generic" devices that don't know the Ford Enhanced protocol.
