What Shocks do I get ?? Recommendations ??

Hello to All!
I have a 2000 Excursion XLT 5.4 (work fine for Me) AKA Big MAMA
She needs Shocks and well I found some Gabriels shocks

and well I have no and have no use for a lift. Will this be good enough ??? PLEASE HELP !

Good enough for what ?

You would need to let us know what sort of ride charteristics you are trying to achieve and how you intend to use your vehicle in order for us to guess if they will be good enough.

Also, which model of Gabriel shock ?

I would only recommend bilstein if you only want to purchase once.

MIne came with KYB Gas-Adjust and they seem fine.

I will second Bilstein's. Just had my second set installed, due to spring change, and both sets have been great.

I recently put KYB Monomax shocks on my 03 V10 Eddie Bauer 4X4 that is otherwise stock...and I don't like them much. Too bouncy.

I will probably switch them back to a premium street shock.

Interesting-I drive up and down MT ripple roads every day with KYB Monotube shocks and I find them anything but bouncy. I hit bumps and she tracks on line.
I guess it's just a particular feel we all look for. Noticed you said Monomax vs Monotube--not up on what the difference is. Sad we can't try shocks before you buy them
