88 F150 Down shifting when Letting off the gas

SO lately I notice that when Im driving (especially down hill) That if I let off the gas to coast, I feel my engine downshift (atleast it feels like it shifts) and hear the exhaust become louder. It almost bogs down. As soon as I touch the gas even slightly it comes right back to normal.
Its strange. Hard to describe without you actually driving the truck. Its a 5.0 302.
Has New everything ignition wise.
Thanks

Maybe it's just more noticeable now, but when you completely let off the gas, the iac opens up for a little bit to allow you to coast. After a few seconds, the iac closes, and with torque converter locked, it will engine brake a little because engine is trying to go down to 700rpm, and it's lower than the speed that you're going. My truck dies this very noticeably.
