TIRE SIZE
I'm getting a set of tires for my 1986 f250 diesel, the ones it has now are 235/85r-16, I was wondering what are the largest size tires I can put on it with the stock wheels? thank you for your inputs

my 86 that I used to have had 285/75/16 on OBS Alcoa rims. I currently have 265/75/16s on my 1996 F250 with Alcoas

I think 285 75 is the largest you can go on the stock truck. I had to take a saw saw and cut the corners off my front bumper.

285 is reall to wide for stock wheels. I would go 265

I've got 315/75R16 on mine with 8" wheels and stock ride height. You gotta either trim the bumper or space it out several inches

If your truck is 2 wd you will need to space out the bumper 2" and cut the bottom corners of the bumper.
