I was mining some parts from this truck and found this when I removed the bezel and nut. Neither of the other trucks had this in there. Is this correct or just something that got added?
The bezel (all you can read: ENGCY WARNING) on the dash is genuine Ford, so the 4-way emergency flasher was either factory installed or a dealer installed kit.
At some point during 1966, the 4 ways became standard equipment. Early '66's and prior years, 4 ways were an option.
But this type was not standard equipment, because when the 4 ways became standard equipment, the switch was located inside the glove box.
Thanks ND! Must have been a dealer deal because that bracket that says emergency warning on it was behind the dash in the same position it's in now, "upside down". And the whole contraption was held on by a threaded bezel.
