Emergency flasher??
Did 1964 standard cab trucks have an emergency flasher? My 64 standard does. It is a ford one as it says "FoMoCo". Hanging underneath the dash is a working red light flasher that i remember seeing in a 66 on the dash. My 64 has no holes cut in the dash for it. I'm thinking that someone may have put one from a 66 in my truck sometime after my truck was made. Can anyone help?

Emergency flasher??
In 1964, the ICC 4-way flasher was an $11.60 option. Flashers tell an interesting story. They seem to have been a regular option until '65. Then they were shipped on every 65/66 truck automaticly UNLESS a "Delete" option was selected. My '66 F101 was a delete model; but I have since put this "option" into it. An interesting twist was that the under dash bracket that said "Emergency Flasher" on it was part of the kit. I had another '66 Camp Special truck. It had the normal flasher & light installed in the dash. But when it was taken apart, the under dash bracket was mounted to the flasher behind the dash, just like it would of been if it was an under dash add-on. Apparently, someone on the assembly line didn't know this bracket was not needed. Connectors were still factory striped, so I know it was shipped that way. If you pull a flasher from a parts truck, get the entire related wire harness. It just snaps in place, after the 2 dash holes are drilled of course!
