I have a 1999 F250 automatic gas. I am having a leak and the two photos below has a wetness around them can someone help me identify what this is
What is this I'm having a leak This also has some fresh oil of some sort around it
i think that plug is to access the bolts for the torque converter.
so assuming your fluids are not overfilled , you may have a leak on either the engine bearing seal or the transmission pump seal or the torque converter it self.
Honestly, that oil could be coming from anywhere. Clean it up with some degreaser and then watch it for a day or two to see where it's coming from. To me it looks black so it could be valve cover gaskets are leaking or the rear main, or as speakerfritz said, it could be trans fluid.

THIS! Clean it up. and find that leak. I had a very similar leak on my 03 5.4L and it was actually a head gasket, filling up the valley and flowing down the back of the motor. I dreaded it being a rear main, I wish it was.
