You already have one. A hitch is the best tow hook!
If that ain't exactly what you want to do, then you can buy, or make, a Tow Bar that fits into your receiver with a hook on it.
I've tied off to my hitch plenty of times getting pulled out of the mud (I blame Bud) and it doesn't always work out the best.
I've had to cut a perfectly good ****** strap (the only way to fly if you're really stuck..... Or even you're just a little stuck) or spend a lot of time and effort untying the proverbial Gordian knot..... Not easy.
And about half the time, the tow bar cuts the snot out of the ****** strap.
This is absolutely the best option for attaching a strap or chain to the rear of your truck. Using the hitch and ball is tempting (and I'll admit I've done it before) but the strap can slip off or worse the ball could break under the sudden shock load of trying to pull another vehicle unstuck, etc. If the ball snaps off, it usually goes flying into the windshield or head or whoever is behind you. Unsafe. Get the hitch-mounted shackle.
