That is a passenger car type bell. Ford passenger car transmissions from 49-64? should bolt onto it. Ford truck light duty three speed transmissions from 53-64? should bolt onto it. I'm not sure of the change over year for Ford wide pattern transmissions. If you find a dual pattern transmission I think the inside pattern still bolts to this bell.
A different concern is the depth of the bell. That looks deeper than my memory of Ford flathead 6 car bells. Hopefully I am wrong.
Yep, and I can personally vouch for them. I have purchased parts for my F-6 COE there.
that is kinda the "read" I got from looking at their web site.
Anyway, parts hunting for 70 year old Fords has proven to be "stimulating".
Here is a photo of a the bell I bought.
Comparing it to an 8 bell photo (from Wilcap, another good outfit, I assume?)
There are some subtle differences on the starter plate side, but the transmission
pattern side looks like i can bolt up T-5s and several years of Ford trans with a
1 1/16" input shaft,
The interesting thing is the starter plate from the '49 engine I'm concentrating on fits the '47 engine I just aquired, so maybe I just created a "back up" engine?
49-51 passenger car bell for sure. The clutch is a push from the front instead of the twist from the side that the 32-48 cars and 32-52 trucks use. Most adapter plates I have seen are set up to bolt to the 32-48 cast in bell housing. That is duplicated by using the appropriate 48-52 truck bolt on bell. I have no idea what the front of a Tremec 5 speed looks like so I can't help you there.

My only hope is that there is one out there.
Another question, were car 6 trannys different from car V8 trannys?
No, starting in 1949 and lasting through at least 1954 the V8 and 6 motors used the same transmissions. The only exception during the remaining flathead years was 1951 when you could get an automatic behind the V8 but not the flathead 6.
