P24AF Code

So I'm guessing this is a fairly rare code. Researching says it is an out-of-spec reading on a diesel particulate matter sensor. My driving habits have changed as we are at Yellowstone for the summer with top speeds in the 40-45 mph range and a lot more slow and buffalo-jam driving, which is when this started. The truck is running as good as ever with no noticeable difference at all.
It does not seem very significant, and is buried in the online service manual where it explains how the emission system works. Should I just continue to reset the code or do I need to do more?

Took the truck to dealer in Bozeman and the DPF pressure sensor is bad, causing the P24AF code. Not a common issue; first one he had seen and they didn't have it in stock. Should be in today so another 100 mile trip tomorrow to get it installed. 41,000 miles on truck but is covered under the factory emission warranty.

Update
The dealer in Bozeman replaced the DPF Pressure Sensor under the 50k emission warranty In early July. I had a CEL with the P24AF less than 10 miles out of town but didn't have time to return to the dealer. The code has continued to reappear after clearing. The longest it stayed off was a 400 mile drive to southern Utah, then a few miles after getting off I-15 it came on. Truck runs great, regens are normal, no other symptoms at all, now has 43,500 miles. Today I took it to Idaho Falls dealer with the CEL on and explained the circumstances. Dealer verified the code, reset and showed "No Problem Found" or whatever the correct term is and unable to duplicate. I drove around town a bit, then back to West Yellowstone and 20 miles out of Idaho Falls CEL again. Looks like I'm going to have to diagnose this myself or leave the truck 3 or 4 days. I have FORScan. Any ideas what I should be monitoring and what I can watch for when the CEL comes on? Also did one normal active regen on the way back home.

Back to the dealer today for a PCM calibration/update, which it needed. The service manager did it for free while the techs were at lunch. Drove 100 miles home and no CEL. Thank you Pocket for the suggestion. Appears to have worked and now back to my trouble-free F-350.
I asked the service writer to activate my DPF % screen and he said it couldn't be done. I asked if he was willing to experiment with IDS and he said a tech would have to do that. Oh well.

Well the code reappeared so I scheduled another appointment in Bozeman. Yesterday in a fairly short time they found that the 2015-16 model 6.7 added a second pressure sensor. They replaced the second sensor under the emission warranty and so far no code. This may have been the real problem.
Also, the diesel tech did not know about the DPF % screen but was willing to give it a try, so I used the simple IDS instructions found on the forum. When we got to the "Enable Forced Regen" command he hesitated and said it wouldn't do it. I coaxed him a little further to try it, and voila, DPF % screen showed up. Very thankful for this forum and the expertise on here. Now onto replacing the intercooler pipe.

I had a local Ford Dealer try to charge me $1200 to repair this code
I first got this code at 35k miles. It is a code for a bad particulate filter sensor. It is for the last sensor on the tail pipe. Its mounted to the inside of the frame, passenger side above the rear axle. The module plugs into a wiring harness and has something that looks alot like an O2 sensor that mounts in the tailpipe. I used a pipe wrench to break the old sensor loose. Took about 10 min. It's been a few weeks now and no codes.
The part number is GC3Z5L239A it cost me $104.00

Thanks for the wealth of information!
2017 F350 6.7 XLT 442+k miles
Hey guys, I got hit with this code now ... at 442k miles. Matter of fact, up to this point I did not have any issues. Well, other than the regular front end stuff, and changed the CP4 at about 330k miles ( about 8 months back), because I played with the truck and I didn't want the pump to bomb out on me.
just a few days before this sensor came up I also started having issues with wire in the harness that controls the alternator. Yes I'm running trailers with this truck and I put this 400,000 miles in 2.5 years. I love my truck.
Thank you guys again for all the information here.
