Rebuilt injectors. Changed oil and filter and fuel filters. Very long and hard starts ficm with key on is 48v first time I turned key onto on position to cycle glow plugs ficm dropped to 20v after truck started finally running very very rough ficm is at 47.8 to 48v a lot of white smoke out the tail pipe not crazy excessive but more than enough. No idea where to go from here.
If you are dropping to 20V, that is pretty telling right there of an issue with the FICM, batteries or alternator.
How long has it ran since you put the injectors back in?
It will stay running I even drove it around the block well it sputtered around the block. I was thinking the drop to 20 than back up was a big sign but I didn't want to jump to conclusions right away again. I jumped to conclusions the first time with swapping the injectors and that wasn't it so I'm being cautious this time around. But she stays running she is just very VERY pissy she sounds like she hesitates to die but never does.
Now I like burnt toast but not burnt ficm , get your alternator bench tested , if you still have the 110 amp alt in ? Then it's time for at least a 140 + amp alt! it's a snow ball effect 1 ficm= 2 battery's =4 or more Injectors , fuel pressure is # 2 killer of Injectors too ,so invest in the blue spring ( if not already done and have the fuel pressure tested ASAP
Edit the ficm when warm to hot will show good in most cases , alway check at koeo Cold, that's key on engine off first cold no start.

Ton's of these still running 110A with no problems. I think it's more of a personal preference. I've seen guys throw a 140A at things thinking they have it in the bag and then don't bother checking things like connections and cables, etc. thinking the 140 will solve all problems.
That said, a 140A is not a bad idea.
I ordered a 58v ficm so fingers crossed that's what it is. I looked into the relay and idk what size it is dumb question obviously but no idea what it is to replace it. I bench tested batts and alternator both passed with flying colors. I've been looking into the blue spring upgrade for the fuel upgrade. Hoping it's easy to replace. I've had the truck for three months and already dropped a grand into her and that not labor HAHHA. But y'all definitely think the **** is shot right??? 47.8 cold but it was at least 80degrees when I tested it but truck hasn't been started in almost three weeks. As soon as glow plugs cycled it dropped to 20v then finally started went to 48v so definitely film right? Well for the next step at least?

When my alternator went I found the new 14a acdelco on Amazon was cheaper than the 110a so I figured why not.

You could of saved the money on the 58V FICM and put that else where.
$30 part and easy to replace... do this before spending another dime! Then use a hair dryer to warm the FICM and see where she comes out when starting it. Run the hair dryer on it for a minute or so to warm it up. If it help's, then it needs repaired.
Watch FICM logic power... that's the power input to the FICM, if it's lower than 10.5v for a few seconds, you have a charging issue as the guys have said. Test batteries/alternator unhooked from the truck and that still isn't a guarantee they are good. I'd have them checked a two separate places since it's free.
It will cause rough running. The smoke was oil burning off from the injector repairs you did most likely.
